Calling
My mother in law passed away recently. It’s a sobering reminder of how suddenly someone can just be gone forever. My last text with her was about a matter I was helping her with and although positive, I now wish it was about something more real. But such is life.
So here’s your reminder. If you’re lucky enough to to still have your folks, grandparents, or maybe even an aunt or uncle who has been a big part of your life. Call them while you still have them.
Don’t text, don’t E-mail, don’t send an emoji. Pretend it’s the 80’s, pick up the phone and call them. Tell them thank you, tell them you love them, and listen while they tell you about their day!
Someday, when you want to make that call and they’re not around anymore, you’ll be glad you did.
